I also really enjoyed Austin Kleon’s mini-lecture “How to Steal Like an Artist”. Particularly: Step one, “do good work,” is incredibly hard. There are no shortcuts. Make stuff every day. Fail. Get better. and Devoting yourself to something means shutting out other things. among many other gems.
I’m getting really into online comics at the mo, and have fallen crazy in love with the art of HamletMachine. This pic is my desktop image, and every time I close all my apps I just sit and stare at it. So good.
